Hypertrophic Scar Formation Model Applied to Blunt- -prosthesis Interface: Forming by Accretion
نویسندگان
چکیده
The interface blunt-prosthesis is the subject of stress and friction due to forces that act in the walking stage. The dermal wounds that can appear due to this stress and frictions can heal due to normal process of regenerative of dermal layers. In some cases, the normal process of wound healing can fail and some abnormal forms can develop: keloid and hypertrophic scars. These abnormal forms can be seen as mainly due to fibro-proliferative disorder in terms of excessive development of fibroblastic cells. In this paper we investigated the possibility to use the mathematical model for fibro-proliferative interactions to forming of scars by accretion at the interface blunt-prosthesis. The work can be used to predict the risk area of patient’s stump and subsequent the use of physio kinetotherapy program to prevent this. The investigation is a theoretically one and it must be validated by medical measurements.

New insights into the prevention and treatment strategies for hypertrophic scars and keloids
Hypertrophic scars and keloids are fibrosis abnormalities associated with the accumulation of collagen and extra cellular matrix components. These scars are caused by abnormal wound healing, which may occur after skin injuries caused by surgery, trauma, burns, etc. and may have a large impact on the patients’ quality of life. Hypertrophic scars and colloids in addition to aesthetic problems can...

The available treatment modalities for hypertrophic scars and keloids have very little success. Surgical treatment of these lesions without adjuvant therapy is also associated with high recurrence rate. متن کاملEvery Other Day Gentamicin Injection in Experimental Pyelonephritis in Rats: Risk of Scar Formation
Background: Urinary tract infection in children may cause renal scar formation, which can be prevented by early and appropriate treatment. Recent studies showed that single daily injection of gentamycin can produce best effect without increasing the side effects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the rate of renal scar formation when new regime (every other day gentamicin injection) used fo...
متن کاملInflammation and cutaneous nervous system involvement in hypertrophic scarring
This study aimed to use a mouse model of hypertrophic scarring by mechanical loading on the dorsum of mice to determine whether the nervous system of the skin and inflammation participates in hypertrophic scarring. Results of hematoxylin-eosin and immunohistochemical staining demonstrated that inflammation contributed to the formation of a hypertrophic scar and increased the nerve density in sc...
